I do love a good packing list! I also really like that you have really clamped down on what you need. We staredt off with heaps of stuff and have slowly whittled it down. I still have a 50ltr bag, which I just about get my stuff in, so all credit it to you for the 38ltr!! I am sure if there is anything you really need you can get it on the road šŸ™‚

    • Cheers Rob! I wonder what else I’d have taken if I was going on an infinite trip like you guys. Maybe a wee bit more change of clothes? Irregardless, already feeling the weight of it just travelling through the London Underground!! #weak

  2. I may be a nerd, but I love reading packing lists. I don’t even have my next trip planned yet, but I’ve also been thinking how much easier some things would be just using a day pack. I like the efficiency of it. Unfortunately I’m someone who wants to bring jeans…and a sweatshirt…and a towel…

    • I rather enjoy packing lists too and did have fun writing this. šŸ™‚ Thinking about the extra weight on your back when you have to run and catch that next connecting train / bus / plane helps to control the urge to put in too many items in the pack!

I’m impressed. Not only with how you’ve able to manage with just a 38L rucksack (there’s no way I’d be able to manage that!) but also how much you actually managed to fit in it! I will have to re-read this post before doing my own packing to inspire a more efficient approach!

    • I did feel strange when I opened up my pack again yesterday after my flight and just thought, is that all?? How am I going to survive the next 3 months! šŸ™‚ But, considering how heavy I felt my backpack to be already, after a day, I’m glad I didn’t pack more!

Wow girl. I’m impressed to see how little you can pack. You are such a well-organised person unlike me. I feel really bad thinking of how hopeless I am at packing. Overweight luggage is always a problem for me, but I’ll stick to your packing tips and see how it goes šŸ™‚ x

    • Hi Agness, I guess it might be more difficult in China as it’s not always easy to get all of the items you need, particularly if you go to rural areas. At least the clothes are cheaper there though! šŸ˜‰
