Hi. I would be going to nz in late october and a short stop by mount cook national park is definitely on the list. But Im with my parents and my younger siblings who are not really fit for a 3.5 hour walk. Do you think just taking the short 30 minutes walk to the first swing bridge is good enough? I mean can you get a nice view from the 1st swing bridge? (Because Idk if the picture above is of the 1st or 2nd swing bridge) or do you recommend us for the 1 hour walk?

    • Hi Ryan, if I remember correctly, the picture above is that of the first swing bridge so I think that the 30 mins walk would be good enough to get a decent view.

I’d still recommend the 1 hour walk though, because 30 mins to me seems a little too short to really be able to soak in the surroundings, which are STUNNING. ;)
